Manutec Sulphur aids in acidifying alkaline soils by reducing the pH.

• Sulphur is one of the essential elements for plants, and is the most economical and effective way of lowering the pH within soil
• This is particularly important when growing azaleas, camellias and rhododendrons, as these plants prefer strongly acidic soils
• Sulphur is recommended for acidifying soils with a pH of 8.4 or less.
• To lower the pH by one unit (for example, from 7.5 to 6.5), apply at the recommended rate per square metre, pending soil type. Note: to lower the pH by more than one unit, multiply the below amounts accordingly.

Sandy soil: 25 – 50g p/m2
Loamy soil: 50 – 80g p/m2
Clay soil: 80 – 120g p/m2
*application rates are for lowing the pH of the top 10cm of soil by 1 unit.

Sandy soil = 60 – 120m2
Loamy soil = 37 – 60m2
Clay soil = 25 – 37m2
